What is a Balloon Arch?

Balloon arches, what are they? Well most of the time they are these things:

1. Freestanding – This means they are supported by an arch structure that your balloon artist will most likely provide. As you can see pictured below, this is a balloon item that stands completely on its own. So you are not just purchasing balloons with this arrangement, you are also renting an entire arch system!
2. Classic – Most of the time what people think about when they think balloon arch! They are very popular for 5k races and grand openings.

What is a Balloon Garland?

Balloon garlands are made up of balloons of course, but are NOT freestanding. They are most of the time hung or attached to a backdrop. Balloon garlands are much more versatile for smaller spaces or tighter budgets.

As you can see in the photo below, the balloons are attached to a pink backdrop and are not standing on their own as they are supported by the backdrop. This is why you see a lot of balloon artists have their own backdrops that are available for clients to rent so that you don’t have to spend as much money on renting an entire arch system.
